07/26/17  New Ambulance Service Joins Fordyce Chamber

Barbara Finley, Executive Director for the Fordyce Chamber of Commerce has announced that Pro-MED, Fordyce and Dallas County's new ambulance service is the newest Chamber member. Pro-Med officially went into service in Fordyce and Dallas County on Saturday.

It was recently announced that Central Ambulance and Medical Services would be ceasing operation and following a meeting with area officials Pro-Med began establishing ambulance service for Dallas County.

Pro-Med Ambulance will base its operations at the existing CAMS location next to the Dallas County Medical Center. The service will continue providing paramedic advanced life support care and supplemental backfill and low acuity calls with a base life support unit.

The biggest change the public may notice immediately is Pro-Med's branded fleet of modular ambulances. The fleet will provide EMS teams expanded working space and will feature state-of-the-art onboard equipment and communications.

Meetings are being conducted with current employees and it's hoped that many will continue employment with Pro-Med. Applications are being accepted for EMT and paramedic positions..full and part time. Pro-Med also provides  ambulance service to Calhoun, Randolph and Union counties.
