07/13/17  Dallas County Receives $10,000.00 Courthouse Restoration Grant

 

Dallas County has received a $10,000.00 courthouse restoration grant for electrical up-grades for the courthouse through the Arkansas Historical Preservation Program, a department of Arkansas Heritage.

19 counties shared over $1,562,000.00 in courthouse restoration grants, financed through real estate transfer tax funds distributed by the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Council for rehab projects for county courthouses throughout the state.

Dallas County has received other grants over the years for courthouses restoration. The Dallas County Courthouse was built in 1911. As we reported earlier, Cleveland County received
$163, 500.00 for courthouse roof restoration.
