93 year old Robert William “Bill” Cannon Sr. of Pine Bluff died Sunday. After serving in the Civilian Conservation Corps, Cannon went on to serve in the U.S. Navy for six years. He served as a volunteer and served time as a civilian during the Korean War.

He was employed by the Pine Bluff Arsenal for 32 years before retiring. In 1970 he opened Bill's Drive Inn, a cafe located on highway 270 at Hardin.

Visitation for family and friends will be tomorrow from 6-8pm in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home in Pine Bluff.
