06/02/17  Possible New Business Coming To Kingsland

At the Kingsland city council meeting last Thursday night Tina Wilson approached the council inquiring as to what permits she will need to move forward with putting in a restaurant and other businesses in Kingsland at the corner of Oak Street and Highway 79. She was advised no permits were needed in advance of construction, only an operator's permit from the city when the business is open.

Wilson said her long-range plans are to establish Nannie's Snack Shack offering take-out ice cream, burgers and so forth. A dine-in restaurant offering home cooking called the Greyhound Cafe, a bakery called Granny's Tasty Creations and eventually a gift shop that would feature Johnny Cash related items and other merchandise.

Wilson told the Cleveland County Herald she plans to start with the Snack Shack and cafe and add the bakery and gift shop later.
