68 year old Gerald Wayne “G.W.” Quarles of Swan Lake died Saturday at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born in Camden, was reared in White Hall and graduated from White Hall High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After the war, he worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal, where he retired as an architectural engineer.

A memorial service will be held this Thursday morning  at 10:30am at Cross Roads Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor John Bean officiating. Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors of Pine Bluff in charge of arrangements.
