05/24/17  Ouachita County Designated As Disaster Following Recent Rains

Governor Asa Hutchinson included Ouachita County in the disaster declaration for federal funds for repairs to roads and property as the result of the recent flooding. We talked to Ouachita County Judge Robbie McAdoo yesterday and he said Ouachita County was approved to receive up to $106.000.00 for use in clean up and repair. McAdoo said a FEMA representative came to the county last week to survey the damage.

Judge McAdoo said there were several roads and bridges in Ouachita County that needed repair following the flooding. We'll have the complete interview with Judge McAdoo on KQ-102.3 during the "Bearden Brunch Bunch" broadcast this morning during the 11 o'clock hour, including the Judge's comments about the mosquito abatement program.
