05/24/17  Bearden District Court

 

In Bearden District Court May 17,  with Judge Dan Ives presiding, a number of cases were dealt with. The court received a letter from Kenny Rogers, who owes the city $4,551.00. Rogers wrote in his letter dated May 5, that he'd been in jail since February 15,  and asked for credit for time served, another court date and his release. There was no response in his file from the court.

Berry Shawn of Bearden is to pay $20.00 a week beginning tomorrow to pay off fines he owes.

Amy Caldwell of Bearden did not appear in court. Judge Ives suspended her drivers license and set bond at $1,000.00. Caldwell has a number of charges against her, failure to appear, theft of services, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a prohibited weapon and failure to pay fines.

Joseph Cobb of Hot Springs had charges of speeding, driving with a suspended license, failure to pay registration, failure to appear and passing on a yellow line, all suspended with his payment of $585.00.

Amanda Foust of Camden had her case reset for June 15. She's being represented by Jamie Pratt on charges of theft of property and failure to appear. She owes $950.00 in fines and court fees.

Christy Garcia of Sparkman, charged with failure to pay fines was ordered to pay a total of $245.00 in fines and fees at a rate of $50.00 a month beginning June 3.

Stephanie Harcrow of Bearden , charged with failure to wear a seat belt, failure to appear, was fined $70.00 on the seat belt charge and the judge suspended $245.00. She paid $100.00 with the remainder to be paid within a month.

Darryl Jeffus of Bearden failed to appear in court on a charge of failure to have liability insurance. The judge fined him $345.00, suspended his drivers license and set bond at $500.00.

Gregory McCarter of Bearden, charged with failure to pay fines was ordered to pay $50.00 the day of court and $30.00 a week until his fines are paid.

Gary Nash of Bearden, charged with driving on a suspended license, failure to yield, and failure to appear, plead not guilty to drinking on the highway.  He was ordered to pay $100.00 a month till is fines are paid, when he gets out of jail. Trial set for June 15.

Tina Sample of Sparkman, charged with careless and prohibited driving had her case reset for June 15.

Marvin Stringfellow of Kingsland, charged with failure to wear a seat belt, failed to appear in court, bond set at $150.00.
