05/23/17  Fordyce Seniors Receive $115,000.00 In Local Scholarship Money

Seventeen graduating seniors at Fordyce High School received a total of $115,000.00 in scholarship money at graduation ceremonies held this past Friday at FBT arena. $59,800.00 came from the Fordyce Scholarship Association and $55,200.00 came from Miss Bess Wilkins Scholarship Funds.

The top 5 scholarship recipients included $9,200.00 in scholarship money to Brenna Quin Smith. $8,500.00 in scholarship funds to Dylan Matthew Rice. $7,800.00 to McKenzie Suzanne Smith, all three were Valedictorians.

The Salutatorian Award and $7,700.00 in scholarship funds went to Savannah Grace Lamb. Hanna Elizabeth Sturgis received $7,600.00 in scholarship money. Other scholarships went to Dillon Ray Beaver, Kaoori Grace Archer, Mason Elizabeth Nutt, Quynh Truck Phuong Nguyen, Skyler Marie Hart, Kaylee Danielle Gill, Emily Renae O'Neill, Stephen Grayden Ramsey, Kiandra A. Weathers, Taggart Dane Gray, Brittney Nicole Crutchfield and Joshua L. Wiseman.

At Bearden High School, a total of 22 students received a total of $335,350.00 in Total scholarship money.

Grace Anderson. Co-Valedictorian received $42,500.00 dollars in scholarship money. Travarious Hall, Co-Valdictorian received $47,400.00. The 3^rd Co-Valedictorian, Cassie Easterling received $40,900.00. Bearden's Salutatorian, Domonique Wade, earned $1,000.00 in scholarships money.

Some of the other top scholarship recipients included Jacob Grice, who received $40,450.00 in scholarship funds..Amber Etheridge, $38,000.00 in scholarships and Christopher Falls with $35,500.00 in scholarship money. Other Bearden Seniors who received $10,000.00 or more in scholarship money included: Andrea Jones, Andrianna Edwards, Destiny Jenkins, Jesse Crews and Madison Watkins. Other scholarship winners were: Kelcey Highsmith, Trecie Martin, Morgan Livingston, O'Chawna Beck, KeShawn Lee, Nicholas Dunn, Sontrell Robinson, Te'a Scott, Katelyn Smith, and Keyshawn Ware.
