05/18/17  Man Dies Following Head On Collision With Tractor Mowing Right Of Way

Arkansas recorded its 177^th traffic fatality of the year on Tuesday in Benton County.  According to a State Police report, 38 year old Shawn Leverich of Bentonville died when the carhes was driving collided with a tractor. 

Leverich, driving a 2008 Honda was headed west on Pleasant Ridge road, southwest of state highway 12. A New Holland tractor, being driven by 58 year old Timothy Intessimone of Rogers was heading east, mowing the roadside.

Leverich was attempting to negotiate a sharp right curve, lost control of his vehicle and struck the front of the tractor. Leverich died of his injuries. Intessimone was hospitalized at a nearby hospital. Weather conditions were clear the roadway dry at the time of the crash at 1:05 Tuesday afternoon.
