05/17/17  Dallas County Judge Says Rains Have Damaged County Roads

South Arkansas received a lot of rain the past month and in some counties there was considerable damage. Ouachita and Drew Counties were both included in the Governor's request for funding to make repairs. Dallas County Judge Jimmy Jones was asked at last night's Quorum Court meeting about the roads in Dallas county.

In other action by the JP's last night, two ordinances were passed. One would raise by fifty cents the assessment fee charged for late filers and another would expand the ordinance already on the books concerning nepotism to include relatives of department heads.
