A long time Bearden resident, businessman and former mayor died yesterday. 88 year old Homer Harold Jones Jr. died yesterday at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden.

Jones was the owner of Homer Jones Motor Company. He served on the board of directors of Cabun Clinic and was a former mayor of Bearden.

Visitation will be this evening from 6-8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 at First United Methodist Church in Bearden. Burial at Moss Cemetery. Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce-Bearden in charge of arrangements.
