05/10/17  Mayor MacNichol Reports On City Auction,  Cotton Belt Festival, Land Purchase And Phone Upgrade

There wasn't much business conducted at last night's Fordyce City council meeting, mostly it was reports from Mayor John MacNichol on ongoing projects and events that had been held recently. The Mayor discussed the results of the recent auction held by the city.

The Mayor said he was pleased with this year's Fordyce on the Cotton Belt Festival.

The city's playing the waiting game right now on the purchase of the Fordyce concrete property.

Mayor MacNichol said he's waiting on a quote from Windstream Communications to see how much it's going to cost to upgrade the city's phone communications system.

The mayor said the phone upgrade would be for every department in city government.
