05/08/17  Princeton Motorcycle Wreck Update

 

A Fordyce couple is recovering from injuries suffered Saturday in a motorcycle accident near Princeton. The accident occurred around 5pm on Saturday afternoon on highway 8, near the intersection with highway 9 near Princeton.

57 year old Robert Courtney and his wife Shelia were out for a ride when the crash occurred. According to a report from the Dallas County Sheriff's department the crash might have been caused by a mechanical problem with the motorcycle.

Mrs. Courtney was airlifted to UAMS because of her previous health problems and Courtney was taken to UAMS for his injuries as well. The injuries were not life threatening and according to a report from the County Judge's office, the Courtney's could be released from the hospital yet this week. Courtney is employed by Dallas County as Solid Waste transfer station foreman.

The accident was investigated by the Dallas County Sheriff's department. Fire departments from Princeton and Tulip responded to the scene.
