Any youth between 5 and 19 years of age that wish to exhibit livestock as a member of Ouachita County 4-H, must declare their intention to show with the Ouachita County Extension Service by July 1.  Also, any exhibitor planning to show at state fair must have tags paid for by 4pm on July 12.  For more information contact Keri Welch at 870-231-1160.

The Ouachita County Extension Service , Ouachita County 4-H and Camden Police Department in cooperation with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host the annual Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 20. The derby is only for youth 15 years and below. No adults will be permitted to fish. The fishing derby will take place from 7:30am till 12 noon at the Camden Fairview School Pond. Free hotdogs will be provided by the Camden Police Department for the youth. Each child will be allowed one fishing pole and a limit of five fish. Door prizes will be given and an adult must accompany every child. For more information, call the Ouachita County Extension service at 870-231-1160.
