Brother Ross explained how the National Day of Prayer got started.
Ross said there was a big revival in the country back in the 50's.
Brother Hodges told us about the day of prayer observance here in Fordyce scheduled for noon today at the Dallas County courthouse Gazebo.
In Ouachita County today at the Courthouse lawn, a National Day of Prayer service will be held at noon. There will be free hot dogs and hamburgers.
In Cleveland county, residents are encouraged to gather on the steps of the Cleveland County Courthouse at noon. Pastor Ike Mohr of Rison United Methodist Church will be leading the proceedings in thoughts and prayers for the community, the county, state and nation.
