05/03/17   Appropriation Ordnances On the Agenda At Tuesday's Ouachita County Circuit Court

 

The Ouachita County Quorum Court met last night at the Ouachita County Courthouse. Three appropriations ordinances were on the agenda. The first was an appropriations ordinance to appropriate and transfer funds in the jail fund and jail budget. The total appropriation amounted to over $27,433.00 for fuel oil and lubricants, full time salaries, social security and unemployment payments. $10,447.00 dollars of the money was transferred from the Sheriff's budget to the jail budget. The balance came from the unappropriated jail fund balance.

The second appropriations ordinance the JP's considered was one to appropriate and transfer funds in county general and the collector's budget. Total appropriation was $12,000.00 for postage. The funds came from the collector's automation fund to county general.

The third ordinance the court considered was an appropriations ordinances to create full time summer help in county general fund, circuit clerk's budget, assessor's budget, collector's budget and the county judge's budget. The appropriation totals $34,935.00 to create two full time positions within the Circuit Clerk's budget, two full time summer help positions within the Assessor's budget and one full time summer help position with the County Judge's budget. Summer employment is not to exceed 90 days.
