95 year old Jessie Almera Shook Watson of Thornton passed away on Saturday at Dallas county Medical Center in Fordyce. Lovingly known to many as “Almama”, she was a great artist and cook. She achieved the rank of 2^nd degree black belt in Taekwondo in her sixties.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 at Thornton First Baptist Church with Reverend Nathan Petty officiating. Visitation will be at the church at 1pm prior to the service. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce in charge of arrangements.
