75 year old Lester Ray King Jr. of Camden died Friday after suffering a massive stroke. He served in Vietnam as a Munitions Maintenance Technician, working on the “Puff the Magic Dragon” aircraft. He received several medals for his service in Vietnam. After the Air Force, King went to work for Lockheed-Martin, retiring after 30 years.

He was currently working for Intuitive Research Technologies at the time of his death. He was past state commander of the Department of Arkansas VFW.

Visitation will be this Friday at 10:30 at the VFW headquarters in Sherwood with graveside service following at 12 noon at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden in charge of arrangements.
