04/24/17  Donna Ferguson Discusses Zika Virus Symptoms

On a recent KQ-102.3 "South Arkansas Today" broadcast, Dallas County Health Unit Donna Ferguson, discussed the Zika Virus. The Disease is spread to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. Ferguson described  the symptoms that would appear if bitten by the mosquito.

Some of the things you can do at home to get rid of mosquitoes is dump water inside and out, even the smallest container. Use screens on windows and doors and cover trash cans and rain barrels.
