04/05/17  Gurdon Man Faces Drug Charges In Dallas County

A 38 year old Gurdon man has been charged in Dallas County Circuit Court with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Following a traffic stop in Sparkman on February 18, Cory Mandress Turner of Gurdon was found to be in possession of an amount of meth, a spoon used in administering the drug and a syringe. Turner was driving on a suspended license and was confirmed to be on parole.

He is scheduled to appear in Dallas County Circuit Court on May 17.  Deputy Prosecutor Tom Wynne stipulates in the paperwork that Turner will be tried as a habitual criminal, that gives the judge the option to give Turner more jail time.
