03/28/17  Child Car Seats Inspected Free At Saturdays Health Fair

“Let Good Health Win in 2017” is the theme of this year's Health Fair at the Fordyce Civic Center, co-sponsored by DASH and the Dallas County Medical Center, on Saturday, April 1,  from 9am till 12 noon. There will be free health screenings including cholesterol, blood pressure and  blood sugar. Men can get a free prostate cancer screening which will be a blood draw.  A representative from the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation will be there. Women 40 and over can get a Mammogram by UAMS with or without insurance but pre-registration is required, call 1-800-259-8794. Health Unit administrator, on KQ-102.3's "South Arkansas Today" recently said there will be people on hand to check children's car seats.

There will also be entertainment at the event including praise dancing, Dwight Wilson will be singing, Arky the Clown will be there and there will be facing painting as well as door prizes and Bingo.
