The Hogskin Holidays Festival kicks off with the annual BBQ at Thornton beginning at 4:30 that afternoon. April 1,  is also the big day for the Homestead Conference at Rison at Pioneer Village with sessions beginning at 8am and the Cotton Belt Rail Historical Society will hold the 22nd annual Arkansas Railroad Museum Railroadiana and Sale beginning at 9am at the Museum off Port Road in Pine Bluff.
