03/22/17  Dallas County Clerk Agrees With Voter Photo I D

Arkansas lawmakers have approved a measure requiring voters to show photo ID before casting their vote, sending to the Governor a requirement that was struck down as unconstitutional more than two years ago. We asked Dallas County Clerk Pam Barnes how she felt about the issue.

On Monday, the House signed off on changes added by the Senate that allow voters without ID to cast a provisional ballot if they sign a sworn statement.

On another issue, the Arkansas House has voted to permanently move the state's primary from May to March. We asked Barnes how she stood on that issue.

The idea hasn't passed the Senate yet where the move has already been rejected. The bill approved by the House by a 73-10 vote would move the state's primary to the first Tuesday in March.
