02/23/17  At Midnight Tonight The Hog Hunt Begins

Tonight, at a minute past midnight, hog hunting teams from all over the state and all over the region will be turning their dogs loose in the 4th annual Razorback Round-up hog hunt. The event, sponsored by the Arkansas Dog Hunters Association will not only feature the hog hunt with lots of prize money on the line but also several other events that Razorback Round Up founder, Jeromy Sullivent talks about.

Sullivent, will be on KQ-102.3's "South Arkansas Today"  heard from 8 till 10am with an update on the event.  Sullivent says the hog hunters have to check in Saturday afternoon at 3pm with their dead, field dressed hogs.

There's a jackpot for the biggest bar hog.  A bar hog is a hog that has been castrated and turned loose back into the wild.  Money will also be paid for the 5 heaviest hogs, longest tusk, biggest hog and biggest sow.

There's kids activities in addition to the coon and squirrel treeing events, wild hog cook off, buddy coon and buddy squirrel hunt. Lots of vendors will be on hand.

The event is headquartered at the armory, next to the city hall complex on Main Street in downtown Fordyce. For information, call Jeromy Sullivent at 870-484-1775.
