02/17/17  Texas Man Is Latest Traffic Death On Arkansas Highways

A 67 year old Texas man was killed in a two car crash on U.S. Highway 70 in Sevier County on Tuesday. According to Police report a 2006 Ford Escape, headed west on highway 70, driven by William Massey of Seagoville, Texas, crossed the centerline and struck a 1997 Chevy Blazer driven by 34 year old Damian Burton of DeQueen head-on.

Both drivers were taken to a Texarkana, Texas hospital for treatment. Massey died of his injuries. The extent on Burton's injuries were not known.

The weather conditions were clear, roadway dry at the time of the crash Tuesday evening at 6pm. Trooper First Class Robert K. Jones of the State Police investigated the crash.c
