02/14/17   Applications For Assistance With Energy Bills Are Being Taken

 

Pine Bluff-Jefferson County EOC began accepting applications for the Crisis portion of Low-income Home Energy Assistance program yesterday. To qualify for assistance persons must have a disconnect date within 7 days of the application date. Applicants must also meet income guidelines.

To apply for assistance, applicants must visit their local EOC office for an interview. Applications will be taken on a first come, first served basis Monday thru Thursday beginning each day at 8am until 2pm.

In Jefferson County EOC reps will be able to interview about 100 people a day. All other counties will be able to process about 20 applications a day. The Pine Bluff-Jefferson County EOC will administer benefits to all its five counties, including Jefferson, Grant, Cleveland, Arkansas and Lincoln. For more information, call 870-536-0046.
