02/10/17  Donald Cain Resigns From Bearden School Board

Longtime Bearden educator and school board member, Donald Cain tendered his resignation from the school board on February 1^st.  Cain served the Bearden School District as Superintendent for many years before serving on the school board. The school board was looking over applications and conducting interviews to replace Cain at its meeting last night. Cain served the 2^nd Zone in the school district.

In other business last night, the school board approved letters of resignation from Linda Daniels, who's retiring and Lynda Brown, Cafeteria-Child Nutrition Director, who's moving out of the district. Amy West will be the new director.

The board also discussed bids for cafeteria equipment, including a double oven and ice machine and approved bids for the purchase of laptop and desktop computers.
