02/07/17  Ward Man Dies In One Vehicle Accident

A 37 year old Ward man died in a one vehicle crash yesterday morning in Lonoke County.  According to State Police, Wesley A. Brown of Ward when he crossed the centerline and went across the west roadside and struck a fence. The vehicle then went through a private yard, struck another fence and a storm shelter and overturned. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Weather conditions were cloudy and foggy..the road clear when the crash occurred yesterday morning shortly after 9am. Sgt William Lann of the State Police investigated. That's the 38^th traffic fatality of 2017. Weather conditions were clear, roadway dry at the time of the crash at 11:32 Saturday night. Corporal Jeff Ricketts of the State Police investigated.
