A 33 year old Bearden man has been charged with aggravated assault, and  criminal mischief following an altercation at Anthony Timberlands in Bearden on December 17. Deputy Prosecutor Phillip A. Stone filed the charges against William P. Reather of 310 Jordan Street in Bearden.

According to the report filed in court, Bearden Police Chief John Ainsworth answered a call in response to a fight at Anthony Timberlands. Upon investigation, the victim..Joseph Outlaw stated that he and Reather had gotten into a fight inside the plant. After the fight, Reather left, Outlaw remained until the end of his shift. Upon leaving the plant, Outlaw encountered Reather again and the two fought again. Outlaw got into his truck to leave and discovered his tires flat, when he got out of his vehicle, Reather rammed his truck with his vehicle and pushed it across the parking lot at the plant and turned the vehicle over, causing about $5,000.00 in damage.

Witnesses at the scene confirmed Outlaw's account of what had occurred. Reather was taken into custody at a residence on Bowman Road and charged.

Another Bearden man..44 year old Dwight M. Neeley II of 286 Ouachita 273 at Bearden has been charged in Ouachita County Circuit Court with possession of meth-cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while his DL was suspended or revoked, operating a vehicle without a license plate and driving with no proof of insurance. The charges were filed following a traffic stop on October 19.
