It was a busy day in court on January 19,  for District Court Judge Dan Ives as he held court in Bearden at City Hall.

37 year old Christy Garcia of Sparkman, charged with failure to appear and possessing an instrument of crime, a meth pipe. Garcia was ordered by Judge Ives to pay $265.00 on the failure to appear charge and $485.00 for possession of an instrument of crime. Garcia was ordered to pay $100.00 per month until her fines and court costs are paid. A 30 day jail sentence was suspended for her good behavior for one year.

32 year old Blake Barnes of Bearden, charged with criminal mischief was fined $485.00.

44 year old Parrish Brooks of Stephens was fined $245.00 for failure to pay fines. The judge gave him 32 days in jail if the fines are not paid, allowing $40.00 dollars a day for jail time.

43 year old Amy Caldwell of Bearden failed to appear in court on a possession of a controlled substance charge and driving on a suspended license. Judge Ives set bail at $1,500.00.

20 year old Tristen Clemons of Bearden, charged with speeding 55 in a 35 mile per hour zone was ordered to pay $145.00 in fines and court costs.

34 year old Joseph Colt of Hot Springs failed to appear in court on charges of speeding 52 in a 25 mile per hour zone and driving on a suspended drivers license and failure to pay registration. The judge set his bond at $500.00.

53 year old Michael Dean of Bearden, charged with public intoxication, fined $265.00 and ordered to 30 days in jail with 20 suspended for good behavior.

45 year old Gary Hooks of Camden, charged with failure to pay fines was ordered to pay $245.00 in fines and court costs. His case was rescheduled for August 17.

43 year old Christi Olvera of Bearden, charged with driving on a suspended license and failure to appear was fined $195.00 on the driving while license suspended charge and ordered to pay $50.00 dollars a month upon her release from jail. She was ordered to pay $215.00 for failure to appear and was given credit for 33 days for time served.

45 year old Joseph Outlaw of Monticello was fined $685.00 on a charge of second degree battery and had his case rescheduled for February 16. A motion was made to amend the charges against him to disorderly conduct. The fine was $265.00 with $200.00 suspended.

33 year old Ricky Pennington of Bearden, charged with fleeing had the charge nol prossed but a charge of possession of a controlled substance was not, and Pennington was ordered to pay $810.00 with 27 days of jail time credited.

19 year old Braxton Richardson of Fordyce failed to appear in court on the 19th on a speeding charge. Judge Ives set bail for Richardson at $500.00.

38 year old Lamina Rogers of Bearden was found guilty of failure to pay fines totaling $870.00. Judge Ives suspended all but $500.00 to be paid in 120 days.

34 year old Matthew Warnack of Bearden was found guilty of driving on a suspended drivers license and disregarding a railroad crossing..Warnack paid $195.00 on the 19th and had 120 suspended.
