01/23/17  Fordyce City Council Approves Ordinance That Allows Use Of $466,000.00

The Fordyce City council, at their last meeting approved an ordinance establishing the Arkansas Development Finance Authority Home Investment partnership program fund (AFDA), a program sponsored by HUD. Mayor John McNichol says the city of Fordyce's request to utilize the funds for four homeowner occupied units in Fordyce has been approved in the amount of $466.000.00.

Houses on Chambersville Road, Thrower Street, Garlington Road and Maple Street have been approved for the funding. The homeowners must own the property and submit to a yearly inspection of the home by the city and be current on property taxes.
