01/19/17  Bearden Water Safe To Drink

The Bearden School District has been given the green light on the safety of its drinking water. The water was tested at the school following a random check of the City of Bearden's water supply that showed an above average amount of lead in the water. Bearden Superintendent of Schools Denny Rozenberg sent out letters dated  January 17 to parents, Guardians, Faculty and Staff stating that the state health department, after testing the water, determined the water safe to drink.

Terry Launius of the Bearden Water Department tested the water in 11 buildings in the Bearden School District and sent it to the state health department as the state health department instructed. The results of the testing came back on Tuesday. Rozenberg said he appreciated the quick response by everyone concerned in getting the tests made and back in such short order.
