01/19/17  Fordyce Opens Bids For Water Line Repairs

The City of Fordyce has opened a bid for replacement of about 2,400 feet of old water lines at a cost of $74,929.00. According to a story published in the News Advocate, funding for the project comes from issuing water and sewer bonds in 2015. Some funds remained after the city's main water storage tank was refurbished.

Lines to be replaced or where new tie-ins will be made in parts of the area of Church Street to Humphries Street and part of Willow around to Smith Street. Work is expected to begin in the next several months, weather permitting. Low bidder on the job was Coakley Company of Hot Springs.
