01/13/17  Fordyce News Advocates Seymore Weathers Recovering From Surgery

At last report Seymore Weathers, photographer for the Fordyce News Advocate was in rehab and recovering from recent surgery. Weathers was injured a few months ago and instead of improving, his health was deteriorating.

On January 3, doctors told Weathers they discovered a tumor on his spine that would require surgery.  January 4, Weathers underwent surgery and regained movement in his legs and back. He's reportedly undergoing rehab.

A fund was established to assist Weathers with his medical bills, accounts were set up at Fordyce Bank and Mortgage and Regions Bank, or you can go to the “Go Fund Me” page of Facebook. Weathers is well known in Fordyce and throughout the region for his work in photography.
