91 year old John D. Ballenger Sr. of Pine Bluff died Sunday. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps 4^th Division during WWII. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1953. He owned and operated Ballenger Enterprises, a timber and farming business for many years. He started logging in 1946 and never retired. He and his son John Jr. have operated the business together for the last 44 years.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 at First United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff with Reverend Mike Morey officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be tomorrow evening from 5-7 pm at Robinson's. Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
