Fordyce Police Chief Jimmy Vaughn reports Fordyce police officers made a total of 21 arrests between December 16 and January 3.  Included in the arrests is one we've already reported, the arrest on December 16,  of 19 year old Jacody Latrell Ross. Ross was one of those charged in the break-in at the Roderick Rogers home in Fordyce. Taken in that break-in was several firearm, .computers, tv's and Christmas gifts intended for needy kids. Ross was charged with residential burglary, theft of a firearm and theft of other property.

There were 3 domestic battery charges filed in three separate cases. On December 19, officer John Cutrell filed a 3rd degree battery charge against Shari Smith. There were two 3rd degree battery charges filed in the same incident, on December 20, officer Charles Still filed charges against 28 year old Arnell B. Caldwell and 33 year old Tyrel Harris of Fordyce. No further details were available.

December 22,  officer Cutrell filed charges of 1st degree terroristic threatening against 60 year old Joe Lea of Fordyce.

December 28, Fordyce police officer Chad Hubanks filed 9 separate charges  against 46 year James L. Wright of Fordyce. The arrest came following a traffic stop. Wright was charged with possession of meth or cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing, obstructing governmental operations, driving on a suspended license, driving with one headlight out, hindering apprehension, filing a false report and delivery of meth or cocaine.
