Two items were on the agenda for the 1^st regular meeting of the new year for the Ouachita County Quorum Court. The JP's were presented an appropriations ordinance amending or supplementing the annual operating budget for various funds for Ouachita County for the year 2016. The total amount appropriated and transferred was one million 654-thousand 284-dollars and 87 cents.

The JP's also set the date and time for quorum court meetings. The regular monthly meeting of the Ouachita County Quorum Court will be at 7pm on the first Tuesday of each month, beginning in the month of February 2017 in Courtroom A of the Ouachita County Courthouse. In the event such meeting date conflicts with some other special day or event, the regular meeting shall be held on the second Tuesday unless otherwise directed by the County Judge.
