86 year old Clemit Phillips of Pine Bluff died Thursday. Mr. Phillips was a social studies teacher, counselor and retired as high school principal in 1988 from Star City School District with 29 years experience. He later worked for Balfour Company and as an instructor for Jefferson and Lincoln County Adult Education. Phillips served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard a submarine.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 tomorrow in the Chapel of Ralph  Robinson and Son with Reverend Mike Morey officiating. Interment at Graceland Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is tomorrow afternoon at 12:30 until time of service. Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors of Pine Bluff in charge of arrangements.
