01/02/17   Felony Charges Filed Against Hampton Man

A Hampton man has had felony charges filed against him in two separate incidents. On November 23,  Amanda Wadlington came to the Dallas County Sheriff's office to report that she had given her boyfriend, Chris Wilkerson a ride to his mother's residence. Wadlington said in route the two got into an argument and he struck her several times and she had the bruises to prove it. Wilkerson was arrested on November 28 and charged with 3^rd degree domestic battery.

On November 29, Wadlington flagged down Hampton police officer Adam McGilton and told him that while she was away from her home between November 23 and 25, she came home to discover her dog and .22 pistol were missing. She said she believed her ex-boyfriend Chris Wilkerson was responsible. Wilkerson was charged with burglary and theft of a firearm.
