01/02/17   Warren Man Destroys Video Equipment Dallas County Jail

A Warren man being held at the Dallas County Detention center for Warren Police was charged on December 5 with 2^nd degree criminal mischief.

52 year old Tyrone Butler of Warren was being held for charges pending against him in Warren. Butler had asked to go to the chapel. While in the Chapel Butler became irate throwing stuff around, cursing and screaming and kicking the locked door. Butler walked up to the video visitation kiosk machine hanging on a wall the hit it several times, shattering the glass and destroying a piece of equipment valued at over $4,300.00.

On December 7 the equipment was replaced by the Dallas County Sheriff's Department and paid the bill in full. Restitution for the cost will be sought.
