12/29/16   Ouachita River Flood Warning Extended For Camden

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has extended the flood warning for the Ouachita River until Monday evening, or until the warning is cancelled. At 10:30 yesterday morning, the Ouachita River at Camden was at 28.4 feet,  flood stage is 26 feet and some minor flooding is occurring.

The forecast calls for the river to rise to near 30 feet by early tomorrow morning. Flooding is forecast for highway 7 running along the river between Camden and Sparkman, flooding is also occurring in portions of Sandy Beach Park along 79-B in Camden and other roads north and east of Camden could experience some flooding.
