12/28/16   National Health Survey Coming To Arkansas

Dallas County Health Unit Administrator, Donna Ferguson, is urging all DASH members to participate in a legitimate health survey that is coming to Arkansas.

RTI International, a not-for-profit contract research organization, will be conducting the National Survey on Drug Use and Health in Arkansas during 2017. The NSDUH is a scientific, national survey of the U.S. Civilian, non-institutionalized population for ages 12 and older.

The purpose of the study is to provide up-to-date information on alcohol, tobacco, drug use, mental health and other health-related issues. Approximately 200 thousand randomly selected households in the 50 states will be sent letters explaining the study. The NSDUH interview takes about one hour and will be conducted in the privacy of participants' homes using a computerized questionnaire. Responses to the survey are confidential. Data collected on states will be made available for information and research purposes.
