98 year old Flossie Rucker Matthews of Tulip died December 16. She married in 1944 and she and her husband Herbert Chester Matthews lived at the Pine Bluff Arsenal area and finally Tulip.

Flossie worked on the detonator line at a munitions plant in Jacksonville during WWII and she was a clerk at F.W. Woolworth in Pine Bluff for 15 years. At age 70 she got her first drivers license.

Graveside services will be held at 11 this morning at Tulip Cemetery with Reverend Travis Langley officiating. Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce in charge of arrangements.
