12/15/16   Buildings In Pine Bluff And Camden Added To Historic Sites

 

The State Review Board of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program nominated 10 Arkansas properties to the National Register of Historic Places when it met on December 7.

 According to AHPP Director Frances McSwain, among the properties nominated were the Federal Building, U.S. Post Office and Courthouse in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County, an international-style building constructed between 1965 and 1967.

Also nominated was St. John's Episcopal Church in Camden in Ouachita County, a Gothic Revival-style building constructed in 1925-26 from a design by Texarkana's Witt, Siebert and Halsey architectural firm. .
