12/14/16   Bids Open For Bearden Sewer Project

Bids were opened yesterday at Bearden City Hall for the sewer renovation project in Bearden. The project, slated to get underway after the first of the year will cost the city in excess of four million dollars.

According to a spokesperson at city hall, several bids were received. We don't have any more information as to who might have submitted the successful bid. The Bearden city council put off until next month passing the budget.

The city needs to hire someone to work on the city's computers. Dan Cook in Camden had been doing the work and they went out of business. El Dorado printing put in a bid $630.00 a month, which council members decided was too high so the council put off acting on passage of the budget until another provider can be located.
