12/05/16   Pine Bluff Youth Killed Four Injured In Jefferson County Accident

 

A Pine Bluff boy is dead and four others injured in a one car crash in Jefferson County on Saturday evening. According to State Police, a 2006 Dodge Durango, driven by 28 year old Philip Cummins of Pine Bluff was northbound on highway 65, left the roadway and struck a guardrail at the Cottondale overpass.

The boy that died was ejected from the vehicle and was struck by a southbound 2015 Nissan Altima. The driver of the other vehicle was not identified. Cummins, 30 year old Matina Cummins and two other minors in the vehicle were taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

It was raining at the time of the crash at 6:23 Saturday morning. Trooper First Class Dustin J. Thompson investigated.
