12/01/16   ATV Accident Claims Life In Dallas County

A Benton man died as the result of an ATV mishap this past Wednesday in Dallas county. Dallas County Sheriff Stan McGahee said the dead man was identified as 42 year old David Allen Lawson.

McGahee said Dallas County deputies found Lawson unresponsive on Dallas County Road 326 near the Willow community. Lawson's ATV was overturned. The deputies reported it appeared that Lawson lost control of his ATV while returning to his deer camp from his tree stand. A family member coming down the road a few minutes later found Lawson and called 911.

He was pronounced dead by Dallas County Coroner Kevin Kauffman.
