11/23/16   Extension Agent Keri Welch Reports on Recent Meeting For Cattlemen

A meeting for cattlemen was held last week to assist cattle producers in seeing that their herd is getting the proper nutrients they need in the hay they consume. Ouachita County Extension agent Keri Welch told us how the hay is checked for nutrients.

Welch says after the hay is sampled the producer is advised on what action must be taken to improve the quality of the food being fed to their herd.
