11/23/16   Camden Woman Shot

A Camden woman was found shot in the chest in the driveway of her home at 523 Carver Street in Camden around midnight on November 17. According to a Camden News report, the woman was found lying on her back near her car. Camden police officer Blake Norwood reported finding no blood in the car or on the driveway.

The woman, who was not identified in the story, first reported to police was was getting out of her vehicle when she was shot, then changed her story to state that she was sitting inside her vehicle when she was shot.

A man later told Camden Police Chief Bo Woody the name of the man he said was responsible for the shooting, the boyfriend of the victim.

A doctor at OCMC told police the woman was shot with a small caliber weapon and there was no exit wound. The Camden Police CID division has taken over investigation of the shooting and a warrant has been issued for a person of interest.
