11/22/16   Morrison Named Chancellor At SAU Tech

Southern Arkansas University System President, Dr. Trey Berry has announced that Dr. Jason Morrison has accepted the position of chancellor at SAU Tech and will begin work January 3. The announcement was made in an email on November 17 by Berry to SAU faculty and staff following the hiring decision made by the Search Committee.

Dr. Morrison was one of three candidates who visited the campus during the last few weeks of October into November. Morrison is currently the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Carl Albert State College in Oklahoma. Originally from Benton, Arkansas Dr. Morrison stated he was excited about coming home to Arkansas.

Morrison's wife Stephanie is a respiratory therapist and they have a young daughter, Bennan, who will start school next fall. Morrison was chosen by the Search Committee after interviews, a campus visit and a survey by SAU Tech's staff and faculty were completed.
